Word Of Advice: Determine To Be Motivated To Expect Your Success..It Works

At some point in our lives, starting from a young age, we all were told and/or taught not to “count all our chickens before they hatch” thus instilling in a good majority of us a belief system that now controls and hinders us in the most inconvenient way.  The emotional “safe zone” that many of us find ourselves trapped in well into our adult lives can be attributed to the teaching of our grandparents and great-grandparents, whose intentions were good despite how ill informed the knowledge was…thanks Nana!

If it Makes you Happy

Today’s society is plagued by a predominant psychology set in fear and failure.  Our fear of failure is the main driving force behind the decisions we make on a day to day basis.  This fear of ‘counting your chickens before they officially hatch’ prevents many of us from stepping out of our safe zone and reaching that ultimate level of satisfaction.  Do I quit this stable, reliable and SAFE job to pursue my dreams in entrepreneurship?  Heck NO! What if I fail or even better, how do I explain this to my prudish friends and family members who are just waiting to feed me plates full of “I told you so’s”.

We live in a culture that raises its young to expect failure first and from an early age we are taught to settle for the least common denominator, whatever happens to be safe and guaranteed.  We are encouraged to go for the lower level first and then if you manage to conquer that, take one step up but don’t get too greedy and don’t expect too much.  Unfortunately, this mindset is a sure road to guaranteed failure and forces us to lose the power to believe that we can do better and be better.

The power of expectation is one of the most useful tools that a person and/or individual can own without fear of it being taken away from some greedy government official or stupid state law.  You have a right to believe that your life can be better, you really do.  You’d be surprised at the transformation a little positive thinking, determination and belief can do to one’s confidence and situation.  The power of determination can turn a regular 16 year old from Virginia into a two time Gold Medalist on her first try. Motivation to succeed is the side dish to determination and serves as the biggest reason why so many people never get to live our their dreams.

Motivation

When you are DETERMINED to succeed will transform into MOTIVATION and some point that motivation will transform into EXPECTATION. Get it?

A determined individual can set a goal that ultimately serves as a navigational mechanism to help assist you in reaching that level of expectation.  The right goal can build the motivating force you need to move forward, and succeed. Remember that your results will rarely exceed your expectations, there is not failure in trying.
