The Forbidden Fruit: Why Some Women Are Attracted To Married Men

A man who is married is something like a forbidden temptation and that is what makes him dangerously appealing to a woman.  Women who seek out married men like to feel that power of being able to tell another woman that they have “been with their man”.  The thrill of being able to attract and seduce a man who is already taken gives her a sense of power.

These type of women aren’t really attracted to the man because she has a genuine liking for the guy, the attraction stems from wanting something that you know you can’t or should not have.  The more the man the resists, the more obsessed this woman will become with the man and the more she will try to do to get his attention and gain his affection.

 

Over the years I have had to deal with these types of women in past relationships and I have always believed that there are only 2 reasons why women are attracted to married men and two type of women who enjoy these adventures:

The Commitment-Phobe Woman who is out for nothing more than a good time and power:

  • The danger or thrill of sneaking around with an involved individual is enticing to her.  For this woman, this type of danger is “fun” and she is aroused by the possibility of lives being ruined and families being broken apart.  While the wife is at home caring for the children and waiting for her husband to return home, this woman enjoys the benefits of a relationship with no commitment. For her, it is easy to walk away because she is not looking for any kind of emotional attachment.  With her, it is all about the fantasy, the experience and bragging rights.

Once she has played her game and conquered her prize, she will move on leaving behind whatever mess she has created.

The Low Self-Esteem Woman who craves security and lacks self-worth:

  • For this woman, a man who is married is a representation of the kind of security she desires.  This woman will easily become emotionally attached and take any kind gesture as a sign of interest.  This will ignite some kind of fire in her that will cause her to pursue a man even though she knows that he is not available.  Having him gives her some kind of validation and making him love her increases her self-esteem.

Of course, these women would not succeed in their endeavors if there weren’t men who were so willing to step out on their families for a little extra fun.   The ladies in the above video brought up a good point when it was pointed out that a lot of the time, when married men are out by themselves or with friends, they don’t wear their wedding bands and do not inform the women that they do come into contact with that they are indeed married.
