Tameka Foster-Raymond Loses Custody of Two Sons, But Swears The Fight Isn’t Over…Yet

It is always a tragic thing when a mother loses a child, double that with a very public and nasty custody battle with a famous ex-husband and the stress added on top of that is magnified by 10.

Tameka Foster-Raymond, the ex-wife of superstar Usher, knows this all too well and in the early hours of the weekend news broke that Usher had, in fact, won custody of the two youngest boys he and Tameka conceived during their marriage.  This news comes only weeks after the tragic death of Tameka’s other son, Kyle Glover, who died after being severely injured during a jet ski accident.

The news is tragic in itself, however, even more disappointing are the comments being made by some individuals who believe that this is “Tameka’s karma” and/or her payback for being such a ‘b*tch’ to her ex-husband.  Obviously, these comments come from women who may have never had the pleasure [or displeasure] of losing a child or conceiving one.

One women on Facebook says:

‘This is what she gets.  God doesn’t like ugly and she really is ugly. Usher should have never got that thing pregnant.  Maybe now that she has all three of her boys she will go away and we wont have to deal with her anymore.  Good for you Usher!  Hit that gold-digger where it hurts!’

Rather harsh, don’t you think?

This is just one of the many comments that can be found all over the web.  Comments such as these date back to 2007 when Tameka Foster-Raymond and Usher got married only months after the finalizing of Tameka’s previous marriage to Ryan Glover. Receiving hate and warnings from everyone including his mother, Usher moved forward with his marriage to Tameka and remained with her until 2009 when he finally filed for divorce.

This amount of hate and ridicule would break the average woman down to the point where a henny and coke would no longer numb the pain and humiliation.

But be not afraid, as Tameka is not through yet as she stated via her twitter page that she will continue the fight for her children regardless of how much ‘money may talk’.

According to TMZ, Tameka already has plans to file an appeal to the decision as she feels that the decision came from a bias judge who back in 2008 received fundraiser funds from Usher’s attorneys office after they raised a small amount of change for the judge.

Tameka feels as though this past affiliation with the presiding judge may have lead to an unfair ruling.  In addition to these concerns, Tameka is rather confused at how any judge could possibly believe that Usher is fit to care for two small children when his schedule is so hectic.  According to Tameka’s camp, between him always being in the studio and on the road, it is impossible for him to properly care for his boys.

The bitter custody battle between Usher and his ex wife Tameka Foster ended on Friday, with the singer winning primary custody of the former couple’s two sons. After issuing a statement addressing the death of her son Kile Glover and her custody case with Usher earlier this month, Foster took to Twitter this time to send a brief message after the headlines broke.

“Money can buy many things… But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail,” she tweeted. “I must continue to believe this. Stand firm.” Her previous tweets read: “A woman’s loyalty is tested when her man has nothing… A mans loyalty is tested when he has everything!” and “Don’t fear the enemy that attacks you… Fear the fake friend that hugs you. There’s not much worse.”

The details of Foster’s access to or visitation rights of her children have not yet been released, but the ruling comes as somewhat of a surprise, given the emotionally charged accusations slung back and forth between Usher and Foster during the trial. Foster accused her ex of being too absorbed in his career to be a good father and that he had used drugs in the presence of his sons. She also told Global Grind that she never wanted to enter the custody battle to begin with and was satisfied with their previously agreed upon “joint custody” arrangement.

Usher was, at one point, held in contempt of court for canceling his wife’s credit card at Saks Fifth Avenue. The court ordered Usher to reinstate the card because Foster argued that she needed use of that particular credit card in order to fulfill her duties as a stylist.Usher filed for divorce in 2009 after the couple had been married for two years. The couple’s relationship was fraught with drama with rumors that circulated about Foster reportedly controlling the singer, Usher’s mother’s disapproval, etc.Neither party has commented on the ruling. This is another personal setback for Foster, who is still mourning the tragic loss of her son Kile Glover. The 11-year-old died from severe injuries sustained when he was struck by a Jet-Ski in July.

Do people really believe that Tameka is an unfit mother?  Or are people just bitter and refuse to like her because Usher married her and now has issues with her?
