Imagine walking down the street and blurting out “Sexy and I know it” after seeing the hilarious M&M commercial that first aired on Super Bowl Sunday and being arrested for indecent conduct in public.  Okay, maybe it is not that serious but it sure was that serious when a school suspended a first grader for singing the line to a fellow student.

A 6 year old special needs student was suspended from school after singing “I’m sexy and I know it…” to a fellow student who happened to be female.  The reason for the suspension?  Sexual Harassment.  The school suggests that since this was the second time that the young boy had repeated the lyrics to the girl that this would qualify as a case of sexual harassment.

According to the charge picture below, the young boy either told the young girl or sang one simple line and this qualified as sexual harassment.

The boy was suspended for 3 days for “just liking the song”.

Does a 6 year old really know what sexual harassment is? Furthermore, how does telling someone that YOU are sexy and you know it qualify as sexual harassment?
