Meek Mill Speaks Out About Brown-Drake Fight Says Neither Chris Nor Drake Threw Bottles; But Did Drake Confirm It On Stage?

While every site on the internet has been covering the recent club fight between R&B singer Chris Brown and Canadian rapper, Drake, I chose not to cover the story due to the lack of credible sources and witness statements.  The vicious and dangerous altercation between the two in a New York club left over 10 people injured including one Australian female tourist, one of Chris Brown’s bodyguards as well as NBA player Tony Parker.

Although it has not been confirmed by either camp, the fight which is said to be about Rihanna was started after Chris Brown sent a bottle of champagne over to Drake table and it was sent back with a note that read, “I am f***ing the love of your life….deal with it”.  At some point after that, words were exchanged resulting in a bottle being thrown hitting Chris Brown in the chin and leaving a very nasty gash.

Although all accounts of the situation seem to point at Drake and his camp being the aggressor[s] in this situation, sources and witnesses have also named MayBach Music Group artist, Meek Mill, as both a participant in the fight as well as the person who may have thrown one of the many bottles that injured Chris Brown and his girlfriend.

Until now, Meek Mill has remained quiet regarding the situation outside of his tweet the night it happened in which he simply stated

It wasn’t me [shaggy voice] lol

After several angry tweets, Chris Brown then took to his own twitter to confirm Meek’s earlier tweet suggesting that he and Meek Mill were “cool” and weren’t about that “bull”.

In an interview with XXL Mag, Meek Mill speaks out on the altercation for the first time stating that neither Chris Brown or Drake threw a bottle and he didn’t either.

“Chris and Drake, them two was there but its other people that be around that take shit to the next level,” Meek exclusively told XXL. “Things just happen in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of shit. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there.”

“What [Brown] tweeted was just that me and Meek Mill ain’t got no problem,” Meek told XXL. “I talked to him immediately after that, on the phone afterwards, like immediately, like, ‘There’s nothing there, this-that-and-the-third.’

“Chris Brown be in clubs,” the Philly MC added. “He be around situations like this. Things get out of hand that don’t mean it’s out of hand with me and him or whoever, not even him and Drake.”

The interesting part about his statement is that while he is denying any involvement from himself, Chris Brown and Drake…Drake was caught on video during one of his recent shows throwing some alleged shade towards Brown.  This footage surfaced not long after Drake made a public statement that he had no involvement and had in fact left the building prior to anything happening.

Whether or not he was actually is talking about Chris Brown is disputable, but the coincidence is fairly odd.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Cash Money CEO Birdman offers his two cents and a pea on the situation showing his support for Drake. In a recent MTV interview Bridman sounds off and lets Chris Brown know what the deal is.

“Drake is one of us. So if you f*ckin’ with Drake, you f*ckin’ with us. Period.”

Birdman also goes on to reminisce about the good ol’ days when beef resulted in death not just cuts and bruises.

“This rap shit get gansta,” he tells MTV. “Ain’t was no fighting in my era. We were shooting motherfuckers. Fuck me? We’re blasting, straight up.”

“I ain’t got time to be playing with you,” Birdman remembers telling his enemies. “We gonna do this and end this now.”
