PR Fail: Meek Mill Cusses Out Pastor On Live Radio Over “Amen” Lyrics

By on

Sometimes you just wish you could sit down with these artists and tell them to sit down and don’t speak, because when they act on their own 9 times out 10 they are likely to say something that they will regret later on. I am a firm believer if you can’t argue your point intelligently, you should not say anything at all.

During a recent phone interview with Hot 107.9, Maybach Music Group artist Meek Mill went toe to toe with Philadelphia Pastor Jomo K. Johnson of North Philly’s Open Air Church.  The local pastor, who felt a certain way about Meek Mill and Drake’s recent single Amen, voiced his opinions publicly on air which prompted Meek Mill to call in and confront the Pastor.  While the pastor was more concerned about “saving” Meek Mill and leading him to the light, Meek seemed to be more concerned about where the pastor was at as he continuously yelling at the pastor “Where were you at??!?!” every time the Pastor opened his mouth to speak.

While the Pastor may have overstepped his boundaries, he attempted to remain civil with the angry rapper who ultimately ended up going off the deep end, getting his blood pressure all up…over an opinion.

(double confused face)

I am sure Meek is clutching his beige pearls at the moment regretting the toe to toe stand off with a man of the clergy after being called out for thanking God for all of the “bad b*tches” that Jehovah Jireh has place before him.  Meek then continues on, with the assistance of Drake, to spit the following versions in the song:

I just wanna thank God
For all the pretty women he let into my life
All the Benjamins he let me count
Wealth and health, for my family
And lettin’ me BALL on these niggas

[Hook: Meek Mill]
Now it’s a lot of bad bitches in the building (Ooh, Amen)
A couple real niggas in the building (Amen)
I’m finna kill niggas in the building (Amen)
I tell the waiter fifty bottles and she tell me say when
And I say church (Preach)
We make it light up like a church (Preach)
She wanna fuck and I say church (Preach)
Do Liv on Sunday like a church (Ahh, Preach)

Anyway, check out the audio of the interview and listen to Meek Mill fail PR 101.

The song that started all of this, Amen:
