Harry Belafonte Said What?! Beyonce Responds to Harry Belafonte’s Lack of Social Responsibility Accusations With Long List of Charity Work

We should have known that Beyonce wasn’t going to let some old man come for her just any old kind of way and get away with it, after all she is Beyonce and well..she is Beyonce. [can you sense the sarcasm?]

Days after the legendary singer, actor and social activist Harry Belafonte called out Beyonce and her husband on what he believes to be their lack of social responsibility, Beyonce and/or her representatives responded to Harry Belafonte via the Wall Street Journal by sending in what has been described as as “abbreviated list of the unselfish work Beyoncé has done and continues to do.” The list included co-founding The Survivor Foundation “a multi-purpose community outreach facility in downtown Houston”; donating “100K in 2008 to the Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund to aid Texas victims of Hurricane Ike”; performing in “MTV’s Hope For Haiti Now! Benefit in addition to making a generous monetary donation,” among many other charitable activities.”

Beyonce just finished wrapping up her video ‘I Was Here’ as the United Nations in New York City for World Humanitarian Day on August 19th.
