Breaking Records: Anita Baker Breaks Billboard Records With Remake of Tyrese’s ‘Lately’

That’s right, bow and pay homage. Anita Baker has re-entered the room and all others are now a distance memory.

Okay, maybe its not that dramatic but Anita Baker has definitely proven to those who may not know and/or recognize that she will always be that ‘chick’.

According to Singersroom, Anita Baker recently broke the record on the Billboard’s Urban AC Chart by having the highest debut single in over 15 years.  Her single ‘Lately’, which is a remake of Tyrese’s 1999 hit single debuted at #10 on August 7, 2012. The single is the first release from her forthcoming album “Only Forever”.

Only Forever is Anita’s first album in over 7 years.

How about that for a comeback?!?
